NOVA Research Associates, Inc. was formed in 1980 for the purpose of providing computer services to government and industry.  Founded by Frank O'Leary and Bob Sterrett the company had six employees by 1984.  In 1984, Frank O'Leary won the office of treasurer of Arlington County and ceased to have an active role in the company.  NOVA has not bid on large contracts since that time, reverting to its computer service & consulting origins.  Bob Sterrett, as the remaining active partner, provides hardware and software services to a variety of clients through NOVA.
