RDS is Back! Remote Data Services 2.0
I had RDS 1.0 working and then RDS 1.5 briefly on NT4. Windows 2000 changed many things. Here, finally, is an example using the default datafactory.
This example also uses databinding to display the editable results.

They're Back! ActiveX Documents.
These were recompiled. They seem to break with each new browser/OS version. ActiveX documents run as programs within the browser.
The second of these was updated to fetch the newly available data over http/https and works with proxies in the same way the ActiveX Control below does.

ActiveX Tree View Kinship ActiveX in a WEB Page
This was updated to handle the newly available data. Since the number of cousins increased considerably, internal modifications were necessary.
The point of this early example (first created in 1997--pre-RDS and pre-SOAP) was to show an ActiveX component that communicated with the back end solely over HTTP.
